Industry veteran Richard Potter has joined the Nexus RV team to head up all manufacturing for the Elkhart, Ind. based factory direct company.
According to a press release, Potter has more than 40 years of experience in building recreational vehicles dating back to the 1970’s where he was the head of motorhome production for Georgie Boy. Later, he joined Gulf Stream Coach Inc. and was instrumental in building many innovative products such as the BT Cruiser and Endura Super C during his 15-year tenure.
After leaving Gulf Stream, Potter held various positions consulting with other companies to improve quality and maximize efficiencies. “I am excited to reunite with Claude and Dave and be part of the factory direct model. Having spent many years building product for dealers, this challenge of building for the retail customer is going to be a blast,” he said.
“Having Richard join the family at Nexus RV is going to ensure our huge growth will be properly handled. He is known for building a high quality product and maintaining a very clean facility as well as building a strong team of production operators. Our customers will truly benefit from his expertise,” stated Nexus co-founder Dave Middleton.
